You, a Viber user and non-user, have the right to stay anonymous and not identified to Viber users as part of their use of the Caller ID feature.
To opt out from the use of your phone number and name through the Caller ID feature please enter it here:
If you believe that the name Viber assigned to your number which appears to Viber users as part of the Caller ID is not accurate, you can always ask to correct that without opting out per above – just submit a request through this form. Note, as the Viber Caller ID is meant to detect fraud and spammers, Viber will need to be sure that your correction request is lawful, thus, we might request additional information confirming the number indeed belongs to you.
Non-Viber User Data Notice
Viber receives non-user personal data which includes a name and a phone number from Viber users that granted Viber with access to their contacts. Viber identifies for its users the contacts that are Viber users as well, or alerts when a non-user becomes a user. Additional use of the non-user personal data is through the Caller ID, in which a Viber user granted access to the contacts (or, if granted already at registration, is so reminded prior to activating the Caller ID) and agrees to add its contacts to the Caller ID database.
We use high security measures in processing of this data, including by encryption in transit and rest.
What is our lawful basis for this processing? We rely on our legitimate interests and the legitimate interests of our users to ensure safe and secure space for Viber users, while processing the information for the Caller ID feature.
