Regional Marketing Manager

As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing campaigns that promote Viber’s features and content and reinforce brand image in Myanmar, Thailand & Vietnam. You will have access to the audience of tens of millions via free in-app tools of Rakuten Viber and will be working closely with the marketing, PR, business development and CRM teams to create and execute marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Communication Strategies:

  • Develop, execute, and end-to-end manage holistic short- and long-term plans with clear deliverables and KPIs across online and offline integrated campaigns, including content marketing, paid media, paid social, and partnerships.
  • Oversee campaign planning, budget tracking, and accruals, and work with media agencies to manage paid media budget track and optimize campaign performance to ensure effective ROI.
  • Attend regular meetings with various business units and ensure follow-up on all relevant items.
  • Coordinate with global and regional Marketing, PR, Product, Brand, and Content teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all platforms.
  • Create innovative content-driven strategies to work across – Stickers, KOL Channels, and creative messaging for the local markets
  • Ability to manage multiple agencies at one time as a regional resource to oversee project executions in Myanmar, Thailand & Vietnam

Marketing Campaigns:

  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop engaging content for social media, CRM marketing, and other channels.
  • Analyze campaign performance, produce comprehensive reporting, and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.

Project Management 

  • Ability to work with multilingual agencies in Myanmar, Thailand & Vietnam 
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously with great attention to detail, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align efforts and achieve business objectives.
  • Handling invoices and contracts related to marketing activities and ensuring budget adherence

Public Relations:

  • Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials through our local market agencies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, journalists, and influencers.
  • Monitor media coverage, analyze trends, provide comprehensive reporting, and manage crisis communication when necessary.
  • Support the PR team with event organization and execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2C digital consumer tech marketing
  • Burmese-speaking professionals and native Viber users. Multi-market/regional experience is a plus!
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and effective customer communication. Able to optimize channel efficiency and conversion tactics based on campaign objectives, strategies, audience targeting, creatives, tracking, and analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and communicate marketing strategies, concepts, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Hands-on experience working with diverse teams to develop and lead marketing initiatives. Highly creative in devising campaigns that engage, inspire, and motivate.
  • Organized with high-caliber project management, writing, and presentation skills and demonstrates business acumen and decision-making.
  • Strong multi-tasking and exceptional time-management proficiency with obsessive attention to detail, is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced matrix organization.

  • University degree in Marketing or related field.
