Juggling work and academic studies can get pretty difficult, not to mention staying in touch with family and friends if you happen to be studying away from home. In an effort to support students, Viber is introducing a $1,000 scholarship opportunity to three students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university through the Viber Mobile Technology Scholarship Program.
In order to participate, students are invited to write a 400-500 word essay in which they describe, as creatively as they can, how mobile technology will change in the next 10 years.
Having just recently celebrated 7 years of connecting people freely and securely, we know a thing or two about mobile technology and how it has evolved throughout the years. Many of our users worldwide are millennials who grew up with technology at their fingertips so they’re used to being connected at all times. In fact, millennials spend an average of 223 minutes per day on their mobile device, an increase from 188 daily minutes in 2016. There is no wonder then that many of today’s innovations are developed by today’s younger generation.
Applicants to the Viber Mobile Technology Scholarship Program must be enrolled at an accredited college or university during the 2017-2018 academic school year.
