For the first time ever, Viber’s parent company, Rakuten, will be partnering with Techstars, an American seed accelerator, on a joint Accelerator Program focused on social messaging technology and Viber in particular. The Rakuten Accelerator Program, powered by Techstars, will be centered around the different ways in which businesses and consumers use messaging apps. If you are a motivated entrepreneur or are part of an innovative social messaging startup, this is the program for you!
Receive Funding and Get Access to the Best Mentors in Your Field
The Rakuten Accelerator Program will kick off on July 16th, 2018, and will take place in a new WeWork location in Singapore. During the three-month program, the 10 chosen startups will receive $120,000 in funding and 400 perks worth over $1 million to develop their ideas. The Rakuten Accelerator will be led by Dhritiman Hui, a startup founder, investor, and corporate executive and Program Manager, Dennis List. Over the course of the mentor-driven program participants will work with Techstars’ network of startup experts, top executives, and leaders as well as a group of mentors from Rakuten and Viber.
The program will culminate on October 11th, 2018, in a Demo Day in which the startups will pitch to a global audience of investors and industry leaders.
The deadline has been extended until April 27th, so startups are welcome to hurry up and sign up here.
